Founded in 1946, PCS has evolved and grown much like the thousands of students that passed through its halls. Graduates of PCS bless every industry including medicine, teaching, law, entertainment, entrepreneurship, ministry and many others. With 75 years of legacy, PCS has a rich multi-generational community with alumni enrolling their children and grandchildren.
As an independent Christian school, there are over 100 different churches represented by our student body. PCS is not financially supported by any particular denomination or congregation, making our program 100% tuition-based. Governance comes from a board of directors, comprised of parents and community leaders, that are vested in the outcome of decisions and the stewardship of resources.
What makes PCS a special place is truly our community. Parents that care about the success of the school, students that love learning and excel above national standards, and our fantastic teachers and employees. Everyone is dedicated to making PCS a life-changing, nurturing and academically excellent place for our students. Pasadena Christian School is an exceptional place to learn, serve, worship and make life better in our corner of Pasadena.
Stanford 10 Standardized Test Results
Our students continue to thrive at Pasadena Christian School!
Standardized testing for grades 3rd thru 8th is a snapshot in time of a student's overall progress. It is a comparison score of the child's progress matched against the progress of students across the nation. The Stanford 10 measures concepts, processes and skills taught throughout the nation.
While we are pleased with our scores, it is important to note that at PCS, we do not “teach to the test”. Rather, our curriculum is designed to prepare our students to be life-long learners. This approach allows for the exploration of art, music, theater, sports, and computer science, which results in students actually enjoying school and learning.

Pasadena Christian School is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Both organizations granted PCS clear six-year accreditation status beginning in 2020.
Accreditation with ACSI engages schools in a vigorous, holistic process of organizational appraisal and improvement that engages every school constituent. Every step in our accreditation process is designed to be useful for driving improvement at PCS, so we can continue to grow and improve.
Accreditation is earned based on our school's performance in foundational areas of Christian education:
Bible Knowledge and Biblical Worldview
Academic Excellence
Life Skills and Practical Application of Knowledge
Character Building and Spiritual Formation.
