Dear Parents,

Welcome to our preschool program. We are beginning our fifth year of our preschool program. The fifth year is significant marking our final year in our ramping up process, most of our systems are now in place, our teachers are very experienced working in this environment and as enrollment has increased it allows us to operate with a full staff. Through God's love, we have built an environment and program specifically designed for the preschool level. It is very costly to staff and run a program like ours. There are very few preschools in the city that can maintain the staffing quality we insist upon. Our children are our future; we are committed to find opportunity to develop our space and grow in ways that will be uniquely ours.

Pasadena Christian School has the reputation of a place where families have found quality education, an administration committed to excellence, an involved parent group and a teaching staff that lovingly supports emotional growth and models Christian attitudes. Pasadena Christian Preschool maintains similar goals. Preschool education is unique and requires different skills than in elementary or junior high. WE have hired teaches who understand the young child and skill development meaningful to this age group. A loving nurturing staff, a specifically designed environment and curriculum that reflects current research in the area of early childhood development allows us to deliver the same quality you have grown to expect.

I feel the early years are an important time to develop the love of learning and positive feelings about school. Through exploration of activities meaningful to the individual child, learning becomes an adventure. When we allow children to choose from a variety of play opportunities while practicing how to make good decisions, they become more independent learners. When we allow children some choice about how long they would like to spend at an activity with respect to the class routine, they learn to manage their time. Play is the all-important vehicle, which helps young children internalize attitudes and patterns that make learning a joy.
