Through a carefully planned instructional program, elementary age children at PCS are taught essential learning skills. Science, social studies and math lessons are reinforced by hands-on activities, including a week-long outdoor science camp for sixth grade and an overnight trip to Sacramento for fourth grade. Student participate in physical education on a daily basis. An organized athletic class begins at the third grade level.

The Bible is taught in the classroom and basic Christian morals and ethics of honesty and integrity are an integral part of the entire curriculum. The basic skills of reading, writing, grammar, spelling and vocabulary are emphasized in the English and language arts curriculum. Speech meets and the annual classroom Poem Parties help teach students an appreciation of literature and creative expression.
