Spring Semester Art Classes!

Welcome to the 2nd semester! The school year has gone by so quickly. I am happy to say that our art students have fallen in love with the new art room. This space allows our children to spread out and be creative in a well-lit, artistic and inspiring atmosphere.

If your child hasn’t signed up for our art classes before, these classes are taught here on campus in the brand new art center located in the JR HI wing. This is a beautiful, state-of-the-art studio with lots of clean work surfaces and sunny bright light streaming through the large north and west-facing windows, Our classes are convenient and the price is a reasonable $12.50 per class session. For example, a class that meets once will cost $12.50. A class that meets twice (two sessions) will cost $25.00. BYH charges and materials fees will be added to the tuition amount. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn some new techniques in a relaxed and familiar setting.

In the past, to better suit the age and capabilities of our students, we have offered classes to those students in grades K – 2 on Tuesdays and children in grades 3 – 6 on Thursdays. PLEASE NOTE: students in ALL grades can attend EITHER day.

Classes are led by Mrs. Hart from 3:15 – 4:15 in the Art Center, Rm #606. Unless otherwise noted, classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays Your family account will be billed class tuition as well as materials fees and BYH charges at the time each class closes.

DO NOT SEND PAYMENT
Your child will be checked in by BYH staff at 3:00, given a snack and supervised before and after class. Students may be picked up any time after class through the BYH entry via the Garfield parking lot. Tuition fees are non-refundable. We understand other activities come up throughout the year and we will be as accommodating as we can.

Course Description

Class #7 Spring Project
$6.00 materials fee.
(March 23 or March 25) One session. A project perfectly suited for our springtime Easter season!

CLASS #8 Special Photography!
$18.50 materials fee.
(April 13, 20 & 27 or April 15, 22 & 29) Three sessions. Always a fun class! This is a hands-on class that shows our students how to compose a good photograph. Disposable cameras and processing is included in the materials fee. Students will take photos and be able to critique their work. Favorite photos will be mounted for display during our school’s Open House in May. (Students who have previously taken this class will be given new assignments.) All photographs are taken here on campus. Sign up early as this class fills up quickly.

CLASS #9 Mother’s Day!
$7.00 materials fee.
(May 4th or May 6th) One session. This is a wonderful project, perfect for any mom or mother-to-be. The materials have already been purchased and I guarantee moms are going to love it!!!!

CLASS #10 Father’s Day!
$7.00 materials fee.
(June 8th or June 10th) One session. We have something very special planned for all the father’s out there. Sure to be a hit with our young artists! ;
